Oregon Hosted National Youth License

OYSA is pleased to announce that we have been granted the National Youth License. It will be held July 13-18, 2009 at Parkrose High School, 11800 NE Shaver St., Portland, OR 97220. The registration fee for the course is $750 for OYSA members (add $25 for non-members). Please note that registration for this course is not complete until the registration fee is received.

Small Sided Games Resources and Materials

US Youth Soccer Small Sided Game Manual. This manual has detailed instructions for configuring fields for small sided games, including recommendations for dimensions, goals, and field markings. It also includes age-appropriate modifications to FIFA rules for small sided games at U6 (3v3), U8 (4v4), U10 (6v6), and U12 (8v8).

"The Novice Coach" DVD is availabe for purchase from OYSA at $4.00 per copy. This DVD closely follows and re-enforces the training provided in the Youth Module Coaching Clinics. A great resource which acts as a reminder of what was presented at the Youth Module clinic as a coach prepares for a team practice session. Great for every U6-U12 coach to have as a handy reference.
