Coaching Clinic List

Clinic List - This is a current listing of upcoming clinics. Most clinics are available to all OYSA coaches. Simply select a clinic, then use the online registration tool to register. If the clinic you want to attend is not available for online registration, ask the contact listed about attending. If this is not an option, then your club can request a clinic to be scheduled in your area.

Online Clinic Registration

Online Registration - Click on the link to open the Affinity home page for OYSA. Click on Event/Class Registration . Click the drop down arrow by Event Type: and select Coaches Education. Click the List All button to see all available coaching classes.

Available courses will be listed by date. Click the course you are interested in. You will see detailed information about the course. If you would like to register for the course, click the Register button.

If you have already registered through Affinity and have a user name and password on the system, click the Yes radio button then click the Select and Continue button. Fill in your Username and Password then click the Login button. Your user information will be filled in by default on the next screen. Click in the Register check box then click Continue. You will see the clinic for which you are registering. If that is correct, click the Continue button. You will now be registered for the course. You may view and print a registration receipt by clicking on the View Payment Summary Coupon button.

If you do not have an Affinity account, click the No radio button and then click the Select and Continue button. If you are a coach for an OYSA member club, but have not yet registered with your club for the 2008-2009 seasonal year, click Cancel and go to your club's Affinity registration page to create your user account. If you do not know the URL for your club's Affinity registration portal, contact your club's registrar. If you are not a club coach, follow the prompts to create your account and then continue with your registration. For License courses (such as the E License) you must register through Affinity as a coach for one of our member clubs.

Oregon Youth Soccer will only deliver clinic certificates to registered individuals who have submitted a background disclosure and whose risk status is "Approved." If you are NOT a club coach, click here to submit a background check to obtain your clinic certificate. Registering as a club coach will automatically submit your background disclosure information for a background check.

If you have questions about the course for which you have registered, contact the clinic administrator whose name and contact information appear on the receipt.

The manual includes descriptions of the clinics offered, course outlines, eligibility requirements, scholarship application, costs, and an application to host one or more clinics. Application to Host a Coaching Clinic - Use this form to apply to host a clinic. This is a fillable PDF. You can type information into the form, save it on your computer, then email the filled form to the coaching department. Send filled forms to: brian@oregonyouthsoccer.org.

US Youth Soccer Small Sided Game Manual.

"The Novice Coach" DVD is availabe for purchase from OYSA at $4.00 per copy. This DVD closely follows and re-enforces the training provided in the Youth Module Coaching Clinics. A great resource which acts as a reminder of what was presented at the Youth Module clinic as a coach prepares for a team practice session. Great for every U6-U12 coach to have as a handy reference.
