We’re incredibly excited to partner with the Institute for Youth Sports Leaders (IYSL) to bring one of their premier leadership courses directly into the AGM Weekend experience. This marks a major milestone—not only is this IYSL’s first-ever partnership with a state association, but it’s also their first course offering in the Pacific Northwest.
IYSL is nationally recognized for developing forward-thinking leaders through practical, real-world education focused on strengthening club culture, improving operations, and elevating the overall athlete and family experience. This course goes well beyond theory, diving into key areas such as leadership development, organizational strategy, membership growth, communication, and best practices being implemented by top-performing clubs across the country.
Participants can expect an engaging, collaborative environment with actionable takeaways—tools, frameworks, and ideas you can immediately bring back to your club and begin implementing right away.

Space is intentionally limited to just 75 participants to ensure a high-quality, interactive experience.
To make this opportunity as accessible as possible, we’re offering an exclusive 70% early registration discount—bringing the cost down to just $89 if you register before May 1. After that, registration will increase to the full rate of $299.
To avoid credit card fees, OYSA can bill your club directly for your participation. Please fill out the form below.

TESTAMONIALS FROM OREGON CLUB LEADERS:
“As a Circle member within IYSL (International Youth Sports Leaders), I can confidently say that the collaboration, education, and shared experiences this group provides are truly outstanding. Being part of this network has allowed me to engage with passionate leaders from across the country and beyond, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights that directly impact the way Bend FC serves our athletes and communities“
– Donnie Emerson, Bend FC
“My experience with IYSL has connected me with peers who are facing many of the same challenges we are, and that’s been incredibly valuable. Through the sharing of best practices and honest conversations, it has elevated how I lead and how we operate at Capital Futbol Club. There are multiple things I’ve directly implemented into our organization as a result of those discussions – from how we think about sustainability to how we invest in our people and environment. IYSL is helping move our industry forward through a real exchange of ideas, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about strengthening their club and advancing the game here in Oregon.“
– Collin Box, Capital FC
“Operating a youth sports club is a unique challenge. Staffing, budgeting, facilities, leagues, sponsorships, boards – all tasks that would be demanding of a club leader even if they came with a playbook. But our industry is notorious for flying by the seat of our pants, without best practices, and often without the opportunity to connect with other leaders in similar roles. That all changed for me when I connected with IYSL about two years ago. I attend national conferences that are focused on supporting club leaders and the unique challenges we face day-to-day. I am part of an IYSL Circle that brings 8 club leaders together for a monthly 90-minute discussion to help solve each other’s current problems and share best practices. Seriously, that’s all we do. No fluff.
The fact is our industry can be a bit haphazard. Wonderful and rewarding, but at times we are all winging it a bit more than we should. IYSL brings us together to help us grow and elevate our organizations. Not by selling us another software or trying to make another industry’s best practices fit to ours. But by listening, collaborating, and bringing real value to each interaction. We don’t have to do this work alone, in the dark, and with antiquated business practices that put our organizations at risk. Do yourself a favor and consider IYSL membership.“
– Mike Iacolucci, Oregon Premier FC

Most coaches are not destabilized because leadership is furious. They are destabilized because the record gets loud, and they begin listening to it more than their own judgment.
