National Presidents Cup

CFC Presidents Cup Champs

Capital FC 2008 Boys Black Crowned 2025 USYS National Presidents Cup Champions

History was made in Tampa as Capital FC’s 2008 Boys Black team captured the 2025
USYS National Presidents Cup
title in the Boys U17 division – becoming the first-ever
Oregon team to win the prestigious national event.

After finishing as runners-up at the Far West Presidents Cup in Boise, CFC 08B earned
an automatic bid to Nationals – and made the most of the opportunity.

With two wins and one loss in group play, they advanced to the semifinals to face
Sporting Kaw Valley SC (KS). A hard-fought 2-1 win sent them to the final, where a
familiar opponent awaited: Ocean Township United SA (NJ), the only team to defeat
CFC in the tournament, handing them a 3-1 loss in group play.

This time, the result was very different. Capital FC came out strong, jumping to an early
2-0 lead and controlling the match from start to finish. With a dominant 4-1 victory, they
sealed their spot in the record books.

This marks just the third national title ever claimed by an Oregon team across both the
Presidents Cup and National Championship Series (FC Portland Academy BU18 in 1994, Eastside United FC 91 Liverpool BU18 in 2010).

Congratulations to the players, coaches, families, and the entire Capital FC
community. You’ve made Oregon proud – and left a legacy on the national stage.
