Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation

Our Mission
To be inclusive for all of Oregon’s youth and continually strive to create opportunities for communities to grow and strengthen together. Where OYSA focuses on administering the game and all of its benefits, the Foundation focuses on providing outreach programs to support soccer players.

History

The Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, formed as the fundraising arm of the OYSA in November 1996. In the beginning OYSA provided funding to the Foundation through member ship dues. As operations evolved over the years, the Foundation became responsible for raising money to fund its programs and goals via charitable contributions and sponsorships.

Our Current Areas of Focus

Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation places the needs of our players and their soccer communities at the forefront of our work.

Financial Aid for Players
Field Development
Education for Coaches and Referees

Our Impact

Scholarships

The Foundation’s Scholarship Fund provides much-needed financial support to economically challenged and under-served athletes. Each year we have given in excess of $60,000.

If your club is predominantly volunteer based and has families who face financial burdens making registration fees difficult, apply for our Foundation Scholarship.

Applications open July 1 for each Fall Season and close August 15th at 5pm.

Field Development

Renting fields is a costly endeavor and one that puts OYSA at a disadvantage given that fields typically prioritize patrons. To alleviate this problem and allow OYSA to expand programming, we are seeking to build a complex of our own. This new complex will serve as a central hub for our community, providing a dedicated space for a variety of activities and events.

PROJECT VISION

Our vision is to create a premier destination for sports and recreation, where athletes of all ages can thrive. The facility will include:

State-Hosted Tournaments
The complex will host state-level tournaments, offering a high-quality venue for competitive play.

ODP Activities
We will have dedicated spaces for Olympic Development Program (ODP) activities, helping to nurture and develop young talent.

On-Site Offices
The complex will house OYSA’s administrative offices, providing a centralized location for staff operations.

Meeting Spaces
Our facility will include meeting spaces to support various events, workshops, and community gatherings.

Maintenance and Storage
With ample storage for site maintenance equipment and OYSA materials, we will ensure the facility remains in top condition for all users.

 Current Status
At this stage, we are actively working to identify the perfect location for this project.

Get Involved
We invite you to join us on this exciting journey. Whether through donations, sponsorships, or volunteer efforts, your support is crucial to making the OYSA Field Complex a reality. Together, we can create a space that fosters growth, community, and excellence in sports.

Stay tuned for more updates as we progress with this exciting project. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to OYSA!

OYSF Player Scholarship

Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation has received funds from gracious donors & Oregon Youth Soccer Association to support a volunteer club player’s scholarship. This scholarship is for low-income status applications. If your club is a predominantly volunteer base club that possibly has families who face the financial burdens of registration fees to play soccer. Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation has placed the needs of our players and their soccer communities at the forefront of our work. The Foundation’s Scholarship fund will provide much-needed financial support to economically challenged and underserved athletes.  This newly established scholarship fund hopes to ease the club, family, and player burden so that our athletes can enjoy playing without the added weight of economic stress.

Applications will open July 1 for each Fall Season, and will close August 15th at 5pm.
