BEAVERTON, OREGON – The Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA) and the Soccer Parenting Association announce a partnership agreement to make youth soccer better in Oregon by providing parents and clubs with discounted access to the Soccer Parent Resource Center, a youth soccer parent and coach education platform.

Additionally, OYSA joined as a Sideline Project Partner, and will encourage all parents, coaches, referees, spectators, and caregivers to join The Sideline Project movement and take The Sideline Project Pledge.

The Soccer Parenting Association mission is to make youth soccer better. With emphasis on community, curriculum, and collaboration with partners like OYSA the Soccer Parenting Association carries out that mission by addressing sideline behavior and engaging, supporting, and educating youth soccer parents and coaches.

“We are incredibly excited to partner with Soccer Parenting Association to help elevate the standard of soccer in Oregon, beginning with our clubs, and down to the true grassroots influence with the players and the parents.” said Simon Date, Executive Director of OYSA. “With the range of tools, lessons, and education that Soccer Parenting is delivering to Oregon, we expect our state to begin leading from the front when talking about game day experiences!”

Providing a positive youth soccer experience where all children feel inspired, develop important life skills, and establish healthy, life-long habits must be a top priority for all youth soccer organizations.

“The investment the Oregon Youth Soccer Association is making towards positively affecting the lives of soccer players, families and dedicated coaches in Eastern Pennsylvania is commendable. We are proud to work with OYSA and are encouraged by their commitment to improving the youth soccer landscape in the state.” said Skye Eddy, Founder of the Soccer Parenting Association.
