A yearlong series of competitions as teams earn their way from the top teams in their state to the regional championship tournament.

Teams that win their U12-U19 bracket move on to the US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships (U12 Champions move on to the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Regional event)

Beginning in 2025-26, State Cup will be an Open Tournament. Teams are not required to play in a qualifying league to participate. Teams must be affiliated with an OYSA member club and have all players registered with OYSA to participate.

Roster Rules for National Championships

  • Nationals continuity starts with State Cup level roster – teams must maintain​ a minimum 50% common players between their State Cup roster and their National Championship roster (Rule 221, pg. 5 & 6)
  • Teams may club pass any youth player who is registered to their club provided they meet the following criteria:
    • If the team is U13, U14, or U15, the player must be either the age of the age group of competition or in either of the next 2 younger age groups.
    • If the team is U16, U17, or U18/19, the player must be either the age of the age group of competition or of a younger age group no younger than U14
    • The club pass player must have been eliminated at the State Cup level in order to be placed on a National Championship roster (Rule 224, pg. 8)
  • A club may add two (2) players from outside their club between the State Cup competition and the National Championship competition, provided the player was eliminated at the State Cup level of competition. (Rule 224, Pg. 8). Additional Rostered Players must be properly registered with US Youth Soccer.

Fall 2025/Spring 2026 (U11-14)

  • Registration and Payment Deadline is October 7th at 5 pm
    • Entry Fee is $975
    • $100 late fee for any team that pays after this deadline
  • Recommended for SCL/PCL division teams
  • October 7th at 5 pm – Field Inventory Due
  • October 12th at 5 pm – Schedule Request Forms Due
  • October 13th – Transfer Window Opens
  • October 22nd at 5 pm – Roster Freeze Deadline/Transfer Window Closes
  • A Blind Draw will be done for seeding
  • Group Games
    • November 1st to November 16th
  • Quarterfinals
    • May 2nd, 2026 (if your group has quarterfinals)
  • Semifinals/Finals
    • May 3rd, 2026
  • Finals
    • May 10th, 2026
  • There is no Regional tournament for U11 Winners
  • U12 Winners play at the Far West Presidents Cup
  • State Cup winner (U12 to U18) will qualify for the US Youth Soccer Northwest Conference
  • Northwest Conference website

Spring 2026 (U15-19)

  • Registration and Payment Deadline is February 24th at 5 pm
    • Entry fee is $975
    • $100 late fee for any team that pays after this deadline

  • State Cup winner (U12 to U18) will qualify for the US Youth Soccer Northwest Conference

  • If a team in the finals has the bid from the NWC to Regionals and they win State Cup, they go as the NWC Champion and our finalist (runner up) goes to regionals as the State Champion.

Qualifying for Nationals – U13-U19

  • State Cup Champions will attend Nationals – USYS National Championships
    • OYSA pays the entry fee for teams that advance to Nationals.
    • US Youth Soccer National Championship Details
    • Boys: July 13 – 23, 2026 in Salt Lake City/Provo, UT
      • U16, U17, & U19s: July 13-20
      • U13, U14, & U15s: July 16-23
    • Girls: July 13 – 23, 2026 in Murfreesboro/Smyrna, TN
      • U16, U17, & U19s: July 13-20
      • U13, U14, & U15s: July 16-23
  • Teams who drop after May 10th will be assessed a fine.

Qualifying for Regionals – U12

  • State Cup Champions will attend Regionals
    • OYSA pays the entry fee for teams that advance to Regionals
    • US Youth Soccer Regional Championship Details
    • June 19-22, 2026 in Boise, Idaho
  • Teams who drop after May 3rd will be assessed a fine.
